Retro, China, Cathedral, Central Perk and more

Hello beautiful crispy chocolate-y faces!

It is over a week since I moved into UK and I think that I have seen like the most of the city by now. Well I had nothing else to do since I am not getting any response on my job applies. I have been wondering around and getting to know it here as much as possible. Obviously I had my camera with me and shot everything I found inspiring, pretty or just interesting. So I thought I´ll do a post about a few places that I really did enjoy visitinng this week so once you decide to visit Liverpool you can give them a try as well.

1. Fairs - I am a fan of any fairs either they are food fairs or clothing or home fairs. I just like to wonder around and see the offer and discuss on the prices- if possible- etc. So obviously if there is a possibility of me going to any of them I DO! Last weekend I´ve been on Pillbox Vintage fairs - I have mentioned it in THIS post- and this weekend I´ve been on their Retro Fairs. I personally think it is always worth at least giving a look to any of these events.

2. China Town - I have never been to China or anywhere near that part of world. The closest I ever got to the eastern culture was a Chinatown in London 5 years ago. But this week I went to Liverpool´s Chinatown or district with my dad and it was pretty interesting to see how they live here in England and how they made that classic British architecture -that I love so much- into their own style.

3. Cathedral - I am into old buildings, churches and cathedrals. Especially if they are nice British styled with classic brick walls (I know my explanations of architecture are priceless) . So no wonder that I like these two I have seen the other day. Plus the acoustic inside Liverpool´s Cathedral was AMAZING. We went inside just as the serve started and it was interesting to see a bit different kind of serve then what i am used to back home.

First we´ve been into this church that had been bombarded through second world war and now they made it into this venue for events or protests. In case you are planning your Halloween there will be a Frankenstein night here sooo....
And this is the one I am going to go back to for sure. It is beautiful and you can go all the way to the top of the main tower.

4. Central Perk - after all that walking you have to have a little drink or coffe perhaps. I definitely need to add energy after walking for so long so once I found Friend´s fav cafe I HAD to go inside. This one is on the Bold street right across the street from Leaf on Bold street where Retro fairs were being held this weekend.

5. Drinks at SOHO - or maybe you are not such a coffee lover. In that case try a SOHO bar at Concert square on the Wood Street. The atmosphere there is great and  they have a nice industrial feeling. Also they have A HUGE selection of drinks and a few snacks as well (hamburgers, chips,....).

6. Albert Docks - It feels like I am in Venice for some reason when I am at Albert Docks. Not much but it kinda does. The architecture is lovely, ships here are amazing and there are loads little cute cafes or gift shops which I am a bit obsessed with . They are a definite must see once you are in Liverpool.

I hope I made you want to go and travel once again ! :) Thank you for reading and I guess that is it for today.

Until next time ... Keep safe and live your life to the fullest...

Beautiful Park and Vintage Fairs

Hello beautiful chocolate pop tarts faces!
-yes, I felt in LOVE with chocolate POP TARTS ;) -
How are you all? I am great! Thank you for asking, ahha ...

So The other day my dad took me to the Sefton Park and I loved it there so much I had to share this experience with you. Even though I have no idea how to start I´ll try to give you a nice illustration of this amazing place.
Sefton Park is old almost 150 years but I am sure it is at least as beautiful as it was all those years ago. This beauty is full of different statues, there is also a Shaftesbury Memorial Fountain and a Palm House.
What I loved about this place the most was probably the atmosphere. The calming effect it had on me. I can imagine myself sitting there on  the grass all day! I would read a book, do a bit of poem writing, doodling.... In case you are more active you can just join whole bunch of people who go for a run around the park along a little boat lake. And you can come over even with your dogs if you like. I was actually amazed by how many people own a dog, go there and still manage to keep the park nice and clean.
Sefton Park is "hosting" loads of different events, festivals and concerts all year long. In case you are interested to go for one just keep checking on internet if there isn´t something going on there. For example last week there was a Food and Drink Festival going on. I unfortunately did not take part but I checked #SeftonPark on instagram that weekend and I found A LOT of photos to see how great it must have been there.

And another thing! I already mentioned a Palm House that is in this park. Well I found out that this place is also popular spot for different events. Last weekend there was a Pillbox Vintage Fairs. It felt like they knew that I am coming. I love vintage everything so the fact I could be there was unbelievable.
Look how cute it was in there...
Places like this and clothes like these makes me feel like I ain´t belong into this era. I would bet that I used to be a Parisian in golden era ahah
Have you ever been somewhere like this? Have you been to retro or vintage fairs yourself? I can´t wait to go to another one. Perhaps this weekend ahah...
I hope your friday is going well by the way...
Thank you for coming over
Until next time Keep safe and live your life to the fullest

Leaving and Arriving #DeniDoesUK

Hello my beautiful crunchy faces!
This is my first official DeniDoesUK post and today I´ll just share my experience of packing, leaving and arriving to UK. So lets get started....

First things I want to mention is packing. How on earth was I supposed to pack my life basically into a suitcase?! There was no chance of me packing everything I want and need! So I decided to pack only clothes that are necessary, shoes I know 100 percent I would wear and other stuff as cosmetics or so were left home. I decided to buy them here plus I didn´t want any shampoo getting opened and split all over my clothes. Later on this week I´ll upload a vlog where you´ll see how much trouble I actually had with closing my suitcase. Plus airport meant another trouble for me. Ones you fly your bag can´t be too heavy right? Mine was supposed to be max 20kg which it obviously wasn´t! But there was super lovely woman/worker who said that she´ll let me go but next time I have to be more careful with this issue! Thanks woman!!!
To traveling part. I started by getting on the train and I headed to Bratislava. I have met with my friend since she is there on university and she had a lot of free time. Together we went to airport since I had too many bags to wonder around town. And then there was the stressful part - all the controls! Passport control, bags.... I hate this part of traveling. I LOVE flying but this always makes me super stressed.

I didn´t fly many times in my life but this flight was definitely THE WORST! First we were late for the boarding. They didn´t let us in. Then there was a baby crying for the whole flight which made my British neighbor super annoyed and he made me annoyed. Then we had weird turbulence. Like real bad as we were getting lower and through clouds. For the first time I was really scared on plane.   And then I felt like the plane is NOT going to land and stop before we come to the end of runway. Unbelievable.
But I did landed! It was a warm but cloudy day here in England. My dad and uncle came to pick me up just as I got out of airport which was nice. No one had to wait for no one. That day made me really tired and hungry! That is why the fact that I have a nice new bed ready and a chicken soup freshly cooked waiting for me at my new home made me the happiest girl alive.
And after I sorted everything out at my new room I went for a walk with my dad. I was super tired but I couldn´t wait to see th city.
To summarize my feeling about Liverpool so far... I am in LOVE with the vibe of the city. It is a big one so obviously there are many disgusting parts of the city but also a lot of lovely and super cool ones. I am a bit stressed about going by bus on my own since I am not always sure where I am supposed to get off and Liverpool accent is ... SO hard for me to understand! I knew it will be but sometimes I am seriously thinking that those people are just NOT talking English anymore! But I guess I just have to get used to it right?!

And that is it for today. I hope you enjoyed my little diary kind of post. If you did well you are welcome and if you didn´t I am sorry but I am not sorry.
Thank you for stopping by...
Until next time keep safe and live your life to the fullest
